Dr Suzanne KOUSSA CHARBEL
M.D. from Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1989. She was specialized in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology in 1994 at Université René Descartes Paris V.
She had Training in Pediatric Hematology at Hopital St Louis Paris.
Responsible of the Thalassemia Department at the Chronic Care Center since 1996. She has several publications in the field of Thalassemia.
Dr. Ali TAHER
M.D, Residency in internal medicine and Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology, American University of Beirut. Completed his Clinical Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Royal Free Hospital, London -UK. Dr Taher is a Professor of Medicine at the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre, Lebanon, where he is also Associate Chair
for Research. In addition, he is a Consultant Hematologist at the Thalassemia Department of the Chronic Care Centre. Dr. Taher has been active nationally and internationally in the fields of Thalassemia for over 18 years. He has shown leadership in creating local and regional scientific interest groups that promote partnership in science, dissemination of knowledge, and production of cutting edge research. Dr. Taher has authored more than 350 publications in the field of Thalassemia.
Dr Adlette INATI KHORIATY
M.D, American University of Beirut. Pediatric Residency and Fellowship at the Children's Hospital Medical Center and Sidney Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA.
American Board Certified and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr Inati has initiated the first Thought Leaders and Investigators Sickle Cell Disease Scientific Meeting and the first EHA/ESH tutorial in the Middle East. She has been involved in multiple global and regional trials on sickle cell disease and Thalassaemia. In addition, she has launched the first nationwide neonatal screening program for hemoglobinopathies in Lebanon.
Dr Inati has published in peer review journals and is a reviewer and a guest editor for several of these journals.
Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the Lebanese American University and University Medical Center Rizk Hospital. She is also the Head of the Divisions of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at Rafik Hariri University Hospital and Nini Hospital.
She is a consultant at the Thalassemia Department of the Chronic Care Center.
