Annual Summer Diabetes Camp
From July 27 till July 30, 2023, our annual summer diabetes camp is back for its 23rd edition with our warriors with Type 1 Diabetes aged 9 to 12. Our camp, entitled “The Champions’ Camp”, included activities which fostered our champions’ independence and skills in managing their diabetes through activities on Carbohydrate counting, proper injection of insulin and how to better cope with their condition.
The summer camp included field trips in Zahle. Our champions visited the Taanayel lake and did some cycling, had fun, and enjoyed their time. They visited Zahle’s Berdawni as part of the fun. The field trips were a chance to strengthen their group bonds as a Type 1 Diabetes community.
