The Chronic Care Center is a medico-social institution, specialized in the treatment and follow-up of childhood chronic diseases: Thalassemia and Type I Diabetes.

Treatment of a Diabetic Patient
The cost of treating an insulin dependent diabetic patient at the Chronic Care Center is around 1500$ yearly. The cost will increase up to 5000$ for patient under pump therapy.
Patients until their age of 21 years are provided with all the medications & materials needed for treatment & monitoring of their disease. Partial treatment is offered to selected patients who can not afford to take in charge their treatment after that age.

This depends on the severity of the disease (Thalassemia Major or Thalassemia Intermedia) & the type of chelation therapy used). Patients are provided with all the basic medications & materials needed for the treatment.
